The Cathedral offers Year-Round Catechesis and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), meaning that you can start the process of becoming Catholic at any time during the year.

The formation process includes four modes: catechesis, liturgy, community, and bearing witness to Christ through service.

Those who have already been baptized into another Christian community or denomination will prepare for reception into the Full Communion of the Catholic Church. The Rite of Reception will also include Confirmation and First Communion. Preparation will include the four modes above. You may be received at any Sunday throughout the year.

Those who have not been baptized will prepare for baptism through the RCIA, which includes the periods of Precatechumenate, Catechumenate, Purification and Enlightenment, and Mystagogy. Baptism takes place at the Easter Vigil.

Whether you are baptized or unbaptized, the first step in this process is to fill out our RCIA Registration Form. I will then contact you to explain the rest of the process.

I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.
